Eccrine Angiomatous Hamartoma is a benign cutaneous vascular anomaly that I occasionally encounter in both my The Woodlands dermatology and Conroe dermatology offices. Clinically, Eccrine Angiomatous Hamartomas appear as a solitary blue nodule typically found on the hands and feet. They usually occur at birth and exhibit excessive sweating from the lesion and can be very painful. If the lesion is stroked or rubbed, sweat usually forms on the surface. Treatment is excision if the lesion becomes symptomatic and the patient desires removal.
