Microvenular Hemangiomas are benign cutaneous vascular anomalies that I occasionally encounter in both my The Woodlands dermatology and Conroe dermatology offices.  Clinically, these lesions are slow growing red/purple nodules that typically appear on the extremities of young adults and do not have symptoms.  They do not require treatment but if they become bothersome surgical excision or a laser treatment can be performed.  Occasionally, patients with Microvenular Hemangiomas may have POEMS syndrome.
