Sarcoidosis – Papular Sarcoid
Papular Sarcoid is the most common cutaneous morphology of sarcoidosis which I encounter in both my The Woodlands dermatology and Conroe dermatology offices. Papular Sarcoid lesions are small raised “bumps” that may have a red, brown or flesh colored appearance. They are most commonly located on the head and neck. Occasionally, the papules may fuse into large plaques. Over time, the papules and plaques can resolve with minimal to no residual dyspigmentation or scarring.
