Angioleiomyomas are benign smooth muscle abnormalities that I occasionally encounter in both my The Woodlands dermatology and Conroe dermatology offices.  Clinically, an Angioleiomyomas are flesh colored papules or nodules that are most often found on the legs of women.  Typically, they are painful as they contain blood vessels that expand and contract.  Cold temperatures commonly elicit a painful sensation.  Treatment is excision if they become symptomatic.
