Generalized Essential Telangiectasia (GET) is a skin disorder that I occasionally encounter in both my The Woodlands dermatology and Conroe dermatology offices.  In GET, veins and capillaries become dilated (enlarged) over a large area of the body.  GET is not a manifestation of a systemic disease.  It is most often seen in women in their 40s.  In most patients, GET begins on the lower legs and then spreads to the upper body.  Treatment of GET can be accomplished via laser.
