Glomeruloid Hemangiomas are benign vascular lesions that I occasionally encounter in both my The Woodlands dermatology and Conroe dermatology offices. Clinically, Glomeruloid Hemangiomas appear as red nodules but there histology is unique from other hemangiomas in which they appear like a renal glomerulus in the kidney. These lesions can be seen in syndromes such as POEMS, Crow-Fukase, and Castelman’s disease. Treatment of Glomeruloid Hemangiomas is usually elective but laser treatments have been successful.
