Lipomas are a very common skin lesion that I encounter frequently in both my The Woodlands dermatology and Conroe dermatology offices. Clinically, Lipomas are soft mobile nodules that appear most often on the chest and back but can also be found on the extremities. Lipomas are usually solitary but some patients may have multiple Lipomas. Treatment involves surgical excision if the Lipoma becomes problematic such as being painful or growing very large.
