Trichofolliculomas are hair follicle neoplasms that I rarely encounter in both my The Woodlands dermatology and Conroe dermatology offices. Trichofolliculomas are benign and clinically appear as flesh colored small papules with a characteristic group of small fine hairs protruding through the center of the lesion. They are most commonly found on the head and neck. Trichofolliculomas are found most often in adults but can be seen in children. Treatment of Trichofolliculomas is surgical excision if desired.
