Nodular Fasciitis is a benign common skin condition that I encounter in both my The Woodlands dermatology and Conroe dermatology offices. Clinically, Nodular Fasciitis is a tender flesh colored nodule most often found on the extremities. The lesion begins in the muscle fascia and may extend into the subcutaneous layer of the skin. In most cases, Nodular Fasciitis appears spontaneously over a period of a few weeks without any precipitating cause. Treatment involves surgical excision if the lesion is symptomatic.
