Granuloma Annulare – Localized
Localized Granuloma Annulare is a very common type of Granuloma Annulare that occurs in children and young adults and I encounter it very frequently in my The Woodlands dermatology and Conroe dermatology offices. In most cases, one to three plaques of Granuloma Annulare are present at one time. The most common areas affected in Localized Granuloma Annulare are the dorsal or lateral surfaces of the fingers, hands, elbows and feet. The plaques of Localized Granuloma Annulare typically begin as small red indurated papules, which spread peripherally with central involution ultimately resolving in most patients with no scarring or residual changes.
